What is a teleseminar and how does it work?
by Rai Jordan-Toole, RScP
What is a teleseminar? A teleseminar is seminar that takes place by conference call. You don't need any special equipment and don't have to travel to a specific location to "attend". All you need is a phone to participate. This means you can literally be anywhere in the world and benefit from this life transforming teleseminar! I've had participants from all over the USA, from Canada and the United Kingdom.
Do I need any special equipment to participate? NO! All you need is a phone to participate. You don't need any special equipment or to travel to a specific location to "attend".
How does it work? The teleseminar takes place over telephone through a conference call, or phone bridge. A phone bridge is simply a single telephone number that all the participants call at the scheduled class time to participate in the teleseminar.
How do I get access to the teleseminar at the scheduled date and time? Upon enrolling, you will receive an email containing detailed instructions. These instructions will include the phone number to dial and the access code you will need to enter to access the call. This email will also include some tips and guidelines for getting the most out of the teleseminar. You will also receive handouts by email a few days before the teleseminar.
What are the benefits of attending a teleseminar? One of the benefits is that you can be anywhere and take the seminar, as long as you have access to a telephone. You can be sitting at home in your pajamas, at your work place, or using your cell phone and easily participate in the teleseminar.
Why do you offer teleseminars? I started offering teleseminars a year ago by request from people who live in other parts of the country who wanted to experience me and benefit from my work. As I stated, I've had participants from all over the USA, from Canada and the United Kingdom. Many people tell me that there isn't anyone in their area offering this kind of work so they are very grateful that my classes and workshop are now just a phone call away!
Can you really experience the power of your work over the phone? YES! People who have attended my teleseminars have commented on how connected they feel to me and to other participants by phone. I've been doing this for a year now and have developed a real gift for creating sacred space and creating a sense of community over the phone.
Besides, this introductory teleseminar plus materials is only $29, which is a nominal fee to try something different and new. And you'll have some great handouts to follow during the teleseminar, a recording of the teleseminar, and session notes and follow-up materials that will be sent to you after the teleseminar. These materials will support you in putting the strategies covered during the teleseminar into action.
Are they any other costs? The number that you will call to participate in the teleseminar will most likely be a US long distance phone call for you. Most participants have a landline or cell phone with unlimited long distance so they incur no extra expense. You can also use a VOIP for no additional long distance charge or an inexpensive calling card with a low rate of 3 cents/minute, which would cost you an additional $2.70 for the 90-minute teleseminar.
What if I miss the teleseminar or I'm not available at the scheduled time? You will be able to access a recording of the live teleseminar within 24 hours of the conference call and will also receive session notes and follow up materials as well.
I have more questions about this as this is all new to me - how do I get them answered? By all means, contact me by phone or email. I'm happy to answer any questions you have. I'd love to hear from you! |
